This, at least the first quarter hour, isn't as bad as the E.L. James book, which I couldn't finish. (For the record, I have read the four basic Twilight books and seen their adaptations, although my feelings about that series will be covered if I end up viewing those movies for this blog.) In fact, this feels almost like a somber romcom, klutzy heroine and all. Sam Taylor-Johnson (female) directed.
