I watched through Bobby Fischer's childhood and adolescence.  Edward Zwick directed, twenty years after Legends of the Fall and nine years after Blood Diamond, and he seems to have improved on getting relatively believable performances.

At least the scenery is kind of nice, so there's something to look at during some of the unrealistic emotions.  This is based on the Jim Harrison novella and directed by Edward Zwick.
