I've of course heard of this movie since the time but never actually watched any of it before.  Today I was more interested in the houses than the characters.  Herbert Ross directed, after Play It Again, Sam and Footloose.

Woody Allen, as "Allan" (yes, with two A's), watches movies, whines, and gets misogynistic advice from his inner Bogey, but it was nice to see early Keaton and Roberts.  Woody wrote but Herbert Ross directed.

I saw this at the time and maybe once or twice since then.  As the title song played over the cute "foot" credits today, I sort of remembered the lyrics.  But once it got into the story of the two "rebels," I remembered not particularly caring about Ren, and actively disliking Ariel.  (The supporting cast is better of course.)  Anyway, there's not enough nostalgia to carry me through more than a quarter hour.  Herbert Ross directed.
