This lacks even the sometimes so-bad-it's-goodness of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series.  And why hire the very talented Saoirse Ronan with her incredible eyes and give her such a stupid character, who wears ice-blue contacts!  Andrew Niccol directed and did the adaptation.

Marc Forster directed and co-wrote this drama that kept feeling like it was going to turn into a horror movie.  Skimming through the summary online, it looks like it becomes a psychological drama after the Lively character regains her sight.
