I enjoyed the Ann Brashares books and the movie adaptations at the time, but this felt a little flat today.  And, yes, it was weird to see Blake Lively in this so soon after watching her villain role in A Simple Favor.  Sanaa Hamri directed.

I couldn't really get into the TV series although I liked the films.  This, which was sort of a bridge between them, plays like a video game, with some not terribly intelligent comedy.  The look is nice of course and I appreciate that the original voice cast hung in there.  Elaine Bogan and John Sanford co-directed.  And, yes, my library shelves this under "Dragons."
