I enjoyed this movie at the time and have long thought of it, accurately or not, as "the one Pixar movie I like." But watching the first quarter-hour today, it seemed kind of bleak and I kept wishing I was watching Flushed Away instead. Brad Bird and Jan Pinkava co-directed, and co-wrote with a bunch of people.

One of my best friends loves this movie but I've never been able to get into it. This is based on the book The Iron Man by Ted Hughes, and directed by Brad Bird, who co-wrote the adaptation.
