While I like some things about this, such as the surveillance cameras the boss uses, I just don't quite like Chaplin, and that's always been true and seems unlikely to change, though I'll keep trying.

I found the satiric jabs more interesting than funny, although I can imagine this was a bit shocking in its day, with the stuff about atomic power, rock & roll, and Hollywood movies.  (Including a trailer for a trans movie called Man or Woman?, which might owe something to Glen or Glenda?, but I can't be sure.)  I just watched the first quarter hour, but I didn't feel the need to follow the king on his further misadventures in New York.  Chaplin wrote, directed, and stars.

Chaplin wrote, directed, and stars as the Little Tramp, well, "The Lone Prospector" here.  This is from a "Classic Comedy" collection, which seems to go chronologically, and I'm not big on silents.  Hopefully, I'll like some of the talkies.
