This didn't quite click with me but I'm not a big Sherlock Holmes fan, so it's better than some uses of his character.  (Certainly better than Holmes & Watson!)  This is based on Mitch Cullin's A Slight Trick of the Mind, and obviously inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle.  Bill Condon directed nine years after Dreamgirls, which I gave a C+ and felt didn't live up to its potential.

I might be able to buy Firth as a New York publisher in this British-American production, but Law's Southern accent as writer Thomas Wolfe is truly laughable.  This is based on A. Scott Berg's book Max Perkins: Editor of Genius, and directed by Michael Grandage.

Unfunny presidential version of The Prince and the Pauper, directed by Ivan Reitman.  I think I've tried to watch this once or twice before, like on cable in a hotel when I was channel-surfing.
