Besides not being a subject I'm interested in, the tonal shifts are odd, like the joke about Rameses's kilt.  Still, the animation isn't bad.  Brenda Chapman, Steve Hickner, and Simon Wells co-directed.

Well, although most people seem to have hated this (it made history by being the first animated movie to win several Razzy Awards), I was pleasantly surprised watching it today.  It's sweet and funny, and it has the ultimate in spot-on casting, with Steven Wright and Jennifer Coolidge as Mr. and Mrs. Meh.  Tony Leondis directed, co-wrote, and did a few voices.

Unfunny expanding of the fairytale, which doesn't make any sense, because in fact a very large object falls on the town and causes damage and havoc, yet somehow the title character is a loser for warning everyone?  Still, it was kind of fun recognizing the voice cast (and the Barenaked Ladies on the soundtrack), so yeah, D+.

Mark Dindal directed and co-wrote, as he did for Cats Don't Dance, and there's the same lame level of pop-cultural references.
