Unlike in Juno, this time Jennifer Garner's character's infertility issues are front and center, and maudlin. My library shelves this as "children's," but whatever. Director Peter Hedges co-wrote with Ahmet Zappa, which may explain the pathetic attempts at whimsy, like the pencil museum. Still, the look of the movie isn't bad, so D+ is as low as I'll go.
