Bumped up a notch for Abe Vigoda of course.  (Making it the 100th D+ for this blog, roughly one-fifth of the movies I've brought home, not a good sign.)  This is based on the Marvin H. Albert novel and directed by Richard Fleischer six years after Doctor Dolittle.

I like the use of color film and a bit of humor, but the acting (including of course Heston's) is none too believable.  This is based on the Lyle Saxon novel.  Anthony Quinn directed.

This wasn't as boring as I expected, since there was the thread about Quinn's character's ex being the Filipino equivalent of Tokyo Rose.  But I still had to mark it down from a C- for the gratuitous use (at one point in every other sentence) of the slur "Japs."  Edward Dmytryk directed.
