Very talky, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but the topics aren't that interesting and at times Brando's accent is unintelligible. This is based on the Werner Jörg Lüddecke novel and directed by Bernhard Wicki.
This is a little dull and even the costumes and sets didn't dazzle me in the first quarter hour. It's of course based on the stage musical, which in turn is based on Margaret Landon's novel Anna and the King of Siam. Walter Lang directed.
I like the music and the touches of humor, as well as the odd casting, but not enough to stick with this. The movie is based on the Louis L'Amour novel and directed by Sam Wanamaker,

I like the use of color film and a bit of humor, but the acting (including of course Heston's) is none too believable. This is based on the Lyle Saxon novel. Anthony Quinn directed.
