I enjoyed this the last time I saw it, in a crowd, but this time it got too shrill and I gave up after twenty-five minutes.  This is based on the Clinton Twiss novel and directed by Vincente Minnelli.

I wanted to like this because of the cast, but it's painful rather than funny to watch Lucy and Desi argue at that point in their marriage.  I gave up after twenty minutes, just as the angel showed up and introduced the "fantasy" element.  Alexander Hall directed.
