This has potential, with those stars, and it's nice that producer George Harrison included his song "Blow Away," but this just didn't click for me.  Jonathan Lynn wrote and directed, about four years after Clue.

OK, so here's the thing.  I saw this (on VHS) two or three years after it came out, and I found some parts funny and some parts disgusting, but the best part was undoubtedly the dazzling "Every Sperm Is Sacred" segment (including the Protestant couple across the way).  It remains both brilliant satire and a catchy musical number.  But the rest of the first half hour I watched today just didn't click with me.  And I really didn't want to reexperience the restaurant scene again.

Goofy, amiable movie that never quite hits the heights of the cartoon, although bless it for trying.  Opens with an actual Fractured Fairytale cartoon featuring a cameo with the then seemingly eternal June Foray.  (She'd die at 99 in 2017.)  Hugh Wilson wrote and directed.

I liked this more than I expected, although the tropes do cross over into cliches at times.  The look is good, and I'm saying that as someone who is generally not a fan of computer animation.  The celebrity voices help*, most notably villainess Bancroft and Idle as her spooneristic minion.  Mark F. Adler and Jason Maurer co-directed, and co-wrote with others.

*I'm omitting Sally Kellerman, Kelly Ripa, and Burt Reynolds from the crowded tags.
