Apparently this also turns into a horror film after I tuned out, but it seemed to be about a priest who goes on an archaeology dig and an actress who questions her character's motivation. (Burstyn presumably was more cooperative than her character.) I didn't even see Linda Blair in the first quarter hour. William Friedkin directed, three years after The Boys in the Band. William Peter Blatty adapted his own novel.
