I was so on the fence about this adaptation of the very long-running stageplay (which I've never seen) that I watched until the mid-point, I guess the end of Act I.  I think Grey is very good and the sets are impressive but the movie never quite clicked with me.  Tom Jones co-wrote, and Michael Ritchie directed, about twenty-six years after the very different Downhill Racer.
