While a neorealistic film about a young pimp is not my idea of entertainment, I will admit that the acting and directing seemed good, and I actually gave this twenty minutes rather than the minimum of fifteen, because the first part wasn't as bleak.  This was writer Pier Paolo Pasolini's debut as a director, although he'd written other screenplays.
